By using the FSC Student Marketplace you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
The FSC Student Marketplace is available exclusively to enrolled students at Farmingdale State College. You must register with a valid FSC email address. By creating an account, you represent that you are a current FSC student and that all information you provide is accurate.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the platform only for lawful purposes. You may not list counterfeit goods, stolen property, weapons, alcohol, controlled substances, or any items prohibited by FSC policy or applicable law. Listings must accurately represent the item being sold.
3. Transactions
The FSC Student Marketplace facilitates connections between buyers and sellers but is not a party to any transaction. All transactions are solely between the buyer and seller. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed, the accuracy of descriptions, or the ability of buyers or sellers to complete a transaction.
4. Prohibited Conduct
You may not harass, threaten, or deceive other users. Spamming, fraudulent listings, impersonation of other users or FSC staff, and circumventing the platform's messaging system to conduct transactions are all prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension.
5. Content Ownership
You retain ownership of content you post, including listing photos and descriptions. By posting content, you grant the FSC Student Marketplace a non-exclusive license to display that content on the platform. You represent that you have the right to share any content you post.
6. Account Suspension & Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these terms, fraudulent activity, or behavior that harms the community. Decisions regarding account actions are final and at the sole discretion of the platform administrators.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The FSC Student Marketplace is provided 'as is' without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components. Use of the platform is at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the FSC Student Marketplace and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to losses resulting from transactions with other users.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes via email or a platform notice.
